Ford Chassis Cabs, Cutaways & Upfit Trucks in Augusta, Maine

Kennebec Valley builders, landscapers, public works departments and utility contractors need trucks that carry a body, not a bed. The Super Duty Chassis Cab - F-350 through F-600 - offers up to 15,060 lbs of payload and a Gross Combination Weight Rating from 23,500 to 43,500 lbs, so you can spec a dump, flatbed, service or stake body for the job.

Our inventory across Quirk Ford Augusta and Quirk Ford Belfast includes chassis already bodied - flatbeds and dump bodies among them - alongside bare chassis ready for your choice. The E-Series Cutaway, with its 7.3L V8, is the base for box and van bodies, and Super Duty pickups take service bodies and BOSS snowplows. Tell our Ford Pro Elite team the job and we will recommend the chassis and body.

Chassis Cabs & Upfits FAQs

What is the difference between a chassis cab and a cutaway?

A Super Duty Chassis Cab is a pickup cab on a frame with nothing behind it. An E-Series or Transit Cutaway is a van front end on a frame - the usual base for box and cube bodies. Both are built to have a body mounted behind the cab.

What does GCWR mean?

Gross Combination Weight Rating - the most the truck, body, load and trailer may weigh together. Ford rates Super Duty Chassis Cabs from 23,500 to 43,500 lbs depending on the model and configuration.

Can I buy a truck that already has a body?

Yes. Our current inventory includes chassis cabs already fitted with bodies such as flatbeds and dump bodies, and Ford Pro also lists upfitted vehicles you can choose from. Upfit equipment from an independent supplier is warranted by its maker - ask us for the details.

Program benefits and incentives are set by the manufacturer and are subject to change and eligibility. Upfit equipment from independent suppliers is warranted by its supplier. Towing, payload and GCWR figures are maximums for properly equipped vehicles; ratings for a specific vehicle depend on its configuration.
