Across the Kennebec Valley - Augusta, Hallowell, Gardiner, Winthrop and up toward Waterville - contractors, loggers, farms and town crews put a Super Duty to work hauling materials, towing equipment and pushing snow. The F-250 is the versatile choice; the F-350 adds capacity for a body, a plow and a heavy load at once.
Ford rates the Super Duty for up to 40,000 lbs of towing with the High-Capacity Gooseneck Tow Package and up to 7,900 lbs of payload, properly equipped. Every Super Duty starts with the 7.3L V8 gas engine and a 10-speed TorqShift automatic; the available diesel brings up to 1,200 lb-ft of torque.

Start with what the truck carries at once - body, plow, material and crew. If that fits comfortably within an F-250's rating, it is the more versatile truck; if not, the F-350 and its dual-rear-wheel option give you the margin. Tell us the job and we will check the ratings of the actual truck.
The 7.3L V8 gas engine is standard and suits trucks that carry more than they tow. If heavy trailers are part of most workdays, the available diesel and its up to 1,200 lb-ft of torque earn their keep.

Ford's 40,000 lb maximum requires the diesel and the High-Capacity Gooseneck Tow Package on a properly equipped truck. Cab, bed, drivetrain and engine all change the rating, so we will confirm the rating of the exact truck before you match a trailer to it.
Program benefits and incentives are set by the manufacturer and are subject to change and eligibility. Upfit equipment from independent suppliers is warranted by its supplier. Towing, payload and GCWR figures are maximums for properly equipped vehicles; ratings for a specific vehicle depend on its configuration.
